ABC’s of Contesting
by Mark Volstad, AI4BJ
If you’ve wanted to join the fun of an amateur radio contest, but been intimidated by the rapid-fire calls and mysterious numbers that are exchanged, you won’t want to miss this presentation. Mark will demystify these and other facets of contesting, and will explain some of the reasons why you may still want to participate in a contest even if you have little interest in competing to win. He will suggest contests that are suitable for beginners, and others that you might want to consider if you acquire the contesting “bug”.

Spy Radios...
Intrigue, Hardware, and Operation!
by Joe Munson, WA4VAG
This program will consist of exhibits of various spy radios used during WWII to Desert Storm and the Iraq War. Some are possibly still in use. Joe hopes to demonstrate at least one of them. He will cover the use, where they were used, and who used them. One of the sets is the one Joe carried in South East Asia, sending back transmissions at 300 WPM CW. He has that Crypto set. One of the sets was dropped to agents for one way communications.

Old Timer Show and Tell
No, we don't mean senior hams, we mean old radio equipment and/or cool old tools, since we all use tools to work on our radio gear. Bring something with you to the meeting to share with your fellow hams.
